This week we got a free crib and had gotten some bedding while visiting family in Indiana, so today Cory put the crib up and I put the bedding on. Here are pictures...

I think the crib is a little feminine because of the ladybugs and I want to keep it neutral, so I'm trying to think of a way to make it more neutral, what do you think? I like the idea of a pond type theme...like different bugs/insects ( cute ones, not real looking ones :) ), and frogs, and ducks and stuff. Hmm...

On a side note. I've still been feeling very good for the most part. Sleeping is super interrupted because of my back hurting and going to the bathroom, but otherwise still feeling pretty great. My doctors appointment got switched from Tuesday to Thursday, so I'll definitely update more then, if not before.

I like the pond idea. But remember that the baby won't care if there are ladybugs on his/her blanket. You can do what we did and just reject the idea of a theme at all. Just put up whatever you'll enjoy looking at for the next couple of years. It's really all for you, anyway.

True...it's not like the baby is even going to remember a theme! So...if we were to do a theme, I'd probably go with the pond idea, but since we're pinching pennies, I think I'll stick with what we find free/cheap. :) That'll be our theme.

Exactly! We're recycling a lot of things from our childhood or that we've gotten over the years while traveling. We'll also buy a few things in Ethiopia. But we've decided we'd like most of the decorations in the room to mean something to us and to make us feel happy, which is more important to us than being all matchy matchy.

When we were pregnant with Tyler, we lived in a 1 bedroom house. Tyler's bedroom/nursey ended up being what should have been the dining room of the house. We decorated it as best we could to make it look like a nursery, and I think we did a good job. But he didn't know the difference. Ladybugs can go either way, so I like them. And he/she will, too :)
